The City of Springfield is looking to add a City Solicitor, First Associate, to their team. The person in this position would be responsible for reviewing all claims asserted against the City, both pre-litigation and active litigation. They would assign matters to department staff based on subject matter of claim and complexity. They would represent the City as the primary trial counsel in all courts and administrative agencies and represent the City in front of boards, commissions, City Council and School committee.
