Cohen Kinne Valiecnti & Cook LLP  is seeking an associate attorney to join our litigation and college/university investigation group who wants to enjoy both the practice of law and a great quality of life. We are a team with big city experience handling sophisticated matters, who choose to practice in the Berkshires for its wealth of outdoor and cultural opportunities. Our litigation team works on a variety of cases, including business, employment, property and tort matters. We also conduct investigations for colleges and universities throughout New England. We are a growing firm with offices in Pittsfield, Great Barrington, and Williamstown, offering a collegial atmosphere and excellent opportunities, including partnership track, for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working on civil litigation cases in state and federal court. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a variety of projects. Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery is required. Court, trial, and deposition experience is preferred. Prior college/university investigation experience is not required.

For the right candidate, this position may be remote, with the expectation of traveling to Berkshire County and other locations for court appearances, client meetings, and other events as necessary.
